Moments

I wish some moments would stay forever and I can forever hold on to them, but I instinctively give up the endeavor, for other moments must one day stem. Never can I forget such moments, so filled with ataraxy they were, though they may seem immoment, for me they mean the world. I hope to carry these with me till I die, though many are yet to come. Wondrous how they all shine in the night sky, the afterglow blinding the sun. Such moments make me wonder if I truly deserve this jolliment, ah! flies the Dove yonder, and thus these moments lightly increment.

Demian

To be honest, I am not even sure if I should write a book review on Demian . The book is amazing and at several moments through the book I thought it was absolutely genius. However, once I was done reading it I thought I might forget what the book is about, as we often forget even the most wonderful moments of our lives with time. Then I had kind of an intense discussion with my friend, who had suggested the book to me in the first place. I realized the book has more to it, and wanted to share my views, but I did not quite know what to do. I then decided to write a book review on it, though I was not sure if a book review would help, as Demian is philosophical, and philosophies should really be left up to the reader to interpret, as there can be 1000 different interpretations of a philosophical paragraph. Nevertheless, here I am, and I am going to express my views and opinions. I strongly urge you to read the book if you are interested in philosophy,

Into the world of Books

“ Maybe this is why we read, and why in moments of darkness we return to books: to find words for what we already know. ” -by Alberto Manguel It is true when they say “ A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies. ” When you read a good book you just don’t know where you are. You feel and experience the same as the character, you form your own opinions and understand some things that no one can actually explain to you-which you have to learn from experience. It is truly very educational, fun, exciting and an indescribable experience. It also helps to improve your vocabulary.     I developed the hobby in Germany when I was 8 years old - I didn’t have anyone to spend my evenings with, so I would issue many books from my school every week and just spend time reading. The kind of books I read then were all childish fantasies - I practically read the whole series of ' magic tree'  when I was in 3 rd std. (which has almost 40 books!). When I came to India in 4 th grade,

My visit to Belgium

Image
We went to Belgium on 25 th of December 2014. On the day of Christmas Eve. Great timing, right? During our visit, we were to stay with our relatives-my elder cousin Nikki and her family-husband, and a few months old daughter. I kinda felt weird at the start, but then I got used to it. DAY 1: Anyways, Belgium is basically on the border of Germany, so we traveled by train and bus. We had to travel to Cologne station by an MRB train, and at 12.05 we got a train to Düsseldorf. After reaching there , we took an IC bus that would take us to Antwerp. Since it was kind of the middle of winter, it started to rain and then later on turned into light flakes of snow. After we reached Antwerp, we soon found ourselves in the middle of a city square. There was a huge house in front of us, and on our right was a small hut, in which people had gathered to see the story of Jesus. DAY 2: We spent the 2 nd day in a museum which featured army equipment, for example: army hats, heavy coat

My visit to Berlin

Image
Berlin view from road It was somewhere between the 1 st and the 2 nd week of September, 2014. We went to Berlin via Köln Hauptbahnhof (in English: Cologne central station). On our way, we saw a huge Cathedral, many buildings, several IC and ICEs. Finally, after hrs of waiting, we reached Berlin. When we were roaming, we saw trams, double-decker buses, shops made of pure Mahogany, timber, and whatnot. There was music playing in restaurants. The Berlin station was made of glass. The buses roof-top was open so we could enjoy the cool wind. Basically I loved the city. Its atmosphere, the people, and practically everything about it. There was this huge building of C&A- the international chain of retail fashion clothing stores. It had over 15 floors. We went in and enjoyed playing games like snakes & ladders, etc. There were games where you get a free voucher of 5 Euros or a small packet of gummy bears. I won a game and also the latter with it. There I got a pair of so

My visit to Munich

Image
We went to Munich on 29th august 2014. The first thing that we did to reach Munich was to take an IC train from Bonn central station or a.k.a. Bonn Hauptbahnhof to Frankfurt, around 10.00 am. Then we changed trains and took an ICE to Munich.       Ø   DAY:1 There were many things in Germany that reminded me of India. For example, the petrol pumps in Munich were just like that in India. Then there was a metro. Ok, although it was way longer than the Delhi metro, it somewhat looked like it. It had a brilliant white colour, etc. The hotel that we were staying in was very beautiful. So was the room. There was a huge painting of a scenery on the wall. There were also numerous shops near the hotel, just like our home was in Pune. The feeling made me very homesick.       Ø   DAY:2 ROAMING ON THE STREETS OF MUNICH CITY The next day we went to a museum (whose name I couldn’t recall), where we took an audio guide for convenience. Then we went to the ‘Dachau Concentratio

What I miss in India

Dear readers, I know that I haven’t written my blog for a lot of months so I decided to write a poem which says what I miss in India. What I miss in India I miss my house, I miss my mouse. I miss my friends, and our secret trends. I miss my garden, I miss my fountain. I miss my school, I miss my pool. I miss my basketball class, I miss looking out through the window glass. I miss going to school, I miss making my friends fool. I miss playing in park, I miss going to bazaar. I miss making charts in school, I miss my arts class in school. I miss my dance I use to learn, I miss my aunts which use to love. I miss my music plays, I miss my picnic days. I miss playing in G2 lobby Because it was my favorite hobby!! Thanks readers to take time to read my poem. Wait for my next post and I bet my next post would be better than this one and would be interesting. BYE-BYE!!!

Last 2 days

I have been to school for a few weeks. On the first day of my school we played games. Andrea was my first friend and I played a game with her. It was fun. J  Then we had recess. In recess we take our breakfast and go and play outside. Before any weekend we discuss what are we going to do on our weekend or what are we planning to do on our weekend. Yesterday we had our International day. I wore Lehanga and beautiful  accessories . While playing I met my some of my friends and they told that I am looking beautiful. Then I met Deepak chacha. While going home we met Deepak chacha again. We took them with us to our home. Then we went to the balloon festival. In the way some people, they told that the festival is finish. So we started to play in the park. When we came home we ate dinner. After me and my brother’s dinner we started to see a movie. While we were seeing the movie Deepak chacha went home and we could see the movie till its interval.

My Bonn Diaries-1

Image
Hello, I am Garima Bansal and I will tell you my experience in Bonn.  In Bonn it is cold in summers to! It is very hard to go out without sweaters and jackets. Here people on skates or ride on skate boards are still able to push prams with a baby in it. In front of our building is a park which is huge. In the park there are bars on which I and my brother do somersaults. The park is near our school but if we don’t go from the park to school it is better because if we go from the park we’ll get late to school. So that’s why we don’t have to go from the park. Here drivers drive buses and cars in the left. There are some trams which go underground and when they are not underground, they are on roads! They go parallel to long distance trains.  The bus stops are marked with H and railway stations with an U. T here are some buses which are made like trains so they can go easily in the streets. Here there are some markets which are near our house but in that market are not my fa
